Project Volo: Year of Transformation is a trailblazing experiential coaching program designed for people who want to shake up their lives, figure out who they are and what they’re capable of.

Volo YoT pulls from neuroscience, adult development theory, positive psychology, mindfulness, mental fitness and somatics to lay a path for you to follow and give you the tools for you to evolve to the next version of yourself, no matter where you are in your life.

Twice a year, we establish a cohort of five individuals. Project Volo: Year of Transformation may not be the program for everyone, but if you’re ready for a challenge and:

What Year of Transformation is Made of

Project Volo: Year of Transformation is a 365 day online and in real life program for individuals who want to evolve into the next version of themselves.

Each Volo YoT cohort is designed to address the needs and goals of the participants. Through a robust application and onboarding process, the YoT team creates a bespoke cohort program.

Each cohort has these core elements:

Individual Coaching

You feel like you aren’t on the right path and haven’t been able figure it out on your own. This isn’t uncommon. Finding the right path for yourself can be challenging, especially mid-career when values and priorities may have shifted. Together, we’ll unspool the complexity that surrounds the question: “What’s next for me?” (Online)

Group Coaching

Humans are social animals. It’s one of our basic needs to be part of a community. You’ll join 3-5 team members in bi-weekly group coaching sessions. Together we will explore issues of identity, self-worth, courage, power, values and vision. You’ll be invited to come as you are, leaving all the world’s opinions and expectations of you outside the Zoom room. (Online)

Mental Fitness Program

If you’re not physically fit, you’d feel physical stress as you climb a steep hill. If you’re not mentally fit, you’d feel mental stress, such as anxiety, frustration, or unhappiness, as you handle work and relationship challenges. We have partnered with Positive Intelligence to bring you the Mental Fitness Program that gives you the insights, motivation, and structure to improve your mental fitness.

Challenges

Through Individual and Group Challenges, you’ll learn to conquer your fears and procrastination that are holding you back. Each Challenge will have a unique theme designed to help you conquer thoughts that aren’t serving you. Some might be easier for you than others. How much you grow will be up to you. We’ll meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to go. (Online and in real life with social distancing. COVID test or vaccine required.)

MothWorks Story

Your story is critical to who you are. We are collaborating with MothWorks (The Moth) to help you develop and tell your story. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story with the world and use it to launch your next career, business or adventure. (Online)

Peak Week

Peak week will be one of the hardest and most glorious weeks of your life. In partnership with Outward Bound, you will take what you’ve learned through individual Coaching, Group Coaching, Mental Fitness and the Challenges, and put it all to the test in a week long group expedition into the wilderness. It’s going to be intense and it will change your life in big and small ways. (In real life; COVID test/vaccine required pre-course)

Evolve Via Volo

Emerging neuroscience suggests that when you combine your vision for the future with the feeling of being alive, you can go beyond what you think is possible. Provocative Challenges invite you to experience sensations that you might normally avoid. In doing so, you learn to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and into your growth zone.

  • Thrill

    The Challenge will feel physically scary and risky to you. Think trapezing or treetop rope course.

  • Experiential

    The Challenge will confront you emotionally, intellectually or interpersonally through all five senses.

  • Inhibition

    The Challenge will invite you to show your inner self, no matter who is watching. Think doing stand up comedy or public storytelling on a stage.
